Gholamreza Bagheri Dizaj, CEO of Isfahan Oil Refining Company, explained the company’s future plans and projects on the sidelines of the 29th International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition. He emphasized on the importance of coordinating environmental and economic requirements in these projects. He said Isfahan Oil Refining Company seeks to align governance and economic needs in order to protect resources and create added value.
Bagheri referred to the important project of transferring water from the Sea of Oman to the Isfahan refinery and stated this project, along with a large investment in cooperation with large companies such as Mobarakeh Steel and Esfahan Steel Company, will soon be put into operation, and this major step will greatly contribute to maintaining and continuing production in this complex. He also referred to the fuel oil upgrading project and said by reducing sulfur in fuel oil, this product will add an added value of $150 million to the complex and, in this way, will also contribute to shareholder profits.
The CEO of the Isfahan Refinery also pointed to the challenges in the country’s energy industry and stated that given the energy crisis and gas imbalance, these projects can help resolve the problems and result in less pollution. Bagheri also referred to Isfahan’s petrochemical projects, adding these projects have been created with the aim of increasing investment and boosting production in the petrochemical industry and can lead to additional profits for shareholders.
