In recent months, about 130,000 tons of vacuum bottom are offered weekly on Iran Mercantile exchange, of which Esfahan Refinery’s share is close to 50 percent. This company continues to hold the largest volume of transactions and competition in the vacuum bottom domestic market.
The Marketing and Sales Manager of Esfahan Oil Refining Company, emphasizing the importance of vacuum bottom as a raw material for producing bitumen, said:
“Esfahan Refinery, by supplying about half of the total vacuum bottom available on Iran Mercantile exchange, plays a key role in meeting market needs and creating positive competition.”
Masoud Asadi, referring to the high diversity of the refinery’s products, added: “Esfahan Refinery produces more than 30 special products, about 10 of which, including sulfur, isomeric recycle, crude oil, vacuum, and various solvents, are offered on Iran Mercantile exchange.”
He stated that the goal of EORC’s Marketing and Sales Department is to create added value for customers, reduce production costs by facilitating direct purchasing, and ensure transparency in the supply process, emphasizing: “Better alignment with consumer market needs is one of our main policies.”
