The CEO of Howeizeh Persian Gulf Gas Refinery announced the company’s entry into Iran’s Energy Exchange, saying that by offering 2,000 tons of Pentane Plus they have taken an important step to develop the domestic market and make product sales more transparent. This move marks a new chapter in commercial interactions with downstream industries and the company’s formal entry into the country’s energy market chain.
On Saturday the company offered, for the first time, a shipment of 2,000 tons of its Pentane Plus product on the Iran Energy Exchange.
With this offering, Howeizeh Persian Gulf Gas Refinery is now registered as one of the official suppliers on the country’s Energy Exchange. The step is seen as promoting transaction transparency, improving competitiveness, and increasing the added value of the company’s products.
Afshin Kiani said the first Pentane Plus offering on the Energy Exchange is a strategic move toward joining the formal energy trading chain. He said the action will increase financial and operational transparency and open new paths to expand domestic and regional markets for the company.
He added that, in its sustainable growth path, the refinery focuses on diversifying its product mix and competing in open markets. Listing Pentane Plus on the Energy Exchange is the company’s first experience in this arena and will undoubtedly pave the way for other company products to enter this transparent and competitive platform.
The CEO believes the refinery’s entry into the Energy Exchange can help reduce intermediaries and lead to more realistic pricing while increasing the number of suppliers. It also strengthens the company’s position as an emerging player in the country’s gas value chain.
According to the CEO, a main goal of this move is to create a direct sales route to domestic consuming industries.
Kiani emphasized that by starting sales on the Energy Exchange, factories and petrochemical companies in Khuzestan province and elsewhere in the country can buy directly through this platform without needing intermediaries or long-term contracts.
Worth noting, Pentane Plus is a byproduct of Howeizeh’s gas refining process. Because of its blend characteristics, it is widely used in petrochemical industries, gasoline refining, and fuel supply. This hydrocarbon mix, available in different grades, is used in gasoline production processes and as industrial solvents.
