Tabriz Petrochemical Company won the national trophy and badge of “Commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility” at the 8th National Congress on Social Responsibility and Organizational Culture.
The national event — held at the IRIB International Conference Center and attended by the Vice President, the head of the Department of Environment, members of parliament, ministry representatives, government bodies, academic centers, and leading companies — saw Tabriz Petrochemical representative receive this valuable badge as a symbol of the company’s commitment to sustainable development, the environment, and society.
In the year named by the Supreme Leader as “the Year of Investment for Production,” Tabriz Petrochemical earned a distinguished record in social, environmental, cultural, and human-focused activities and documented its efforts in these areas, securing a national top position in corporate social responsibility (CSR).
At the congress, Dr. Seyyed Nourollah Mirashrafi was introduced as one of the pioneering and inspiring figures in environmental responsibility and received the national “Commitment to the Environment” badge (the Green Brand).
This honor is the result of the company management’s forward-looking approach to protecting natural resources, implementing green projects, and embedding a culture of sustainable development within the organization. According to the congress evaluation criteria, the national “Commitment to Social Responsibility” badge is awarded based on seven key axes: commitment to the environment, human and social responsibility, enhancement of organizational culture, occupational safety and health, welfare services, product quality, and after-sales service.
Relying on a scientific, development-driven approach, Tabriz Petrochemical was recognized among dozens of evaluated companies as a national model in environmental protection and social responsibility. Experts say this national badge indicates that Tabriz Petrochemical, through informed, knowledge-based, and responsible management, has aligned industry and the environment toward complementary and sustainable development. By institutionalizing CSR principles in its policies, the company has played an effective role in enhancing social capital, supporting local communities, and promoting a responsible organizational culture.
With advanced waste-management projects, extensive green-space development (over 117 hectares), wastewater treatment, energy-consumption optimization, and environmental training for employees, Tabriz Petrochemical has earned the title “the green jewel of Iran’s petrochemical industry.” Commitment to sustainable development, ecosystem protection, and responsible coexistence with local communities are integral parts of the company’s forward-looking vision.
The 8th National Congress on Social Responsibility and Organizational Culture, as a major CSR and organizational-culture event, aimed to identify and introduce successful CSR models among the country’s enterprises and provided a platform for experience exchange and promotion of a sustainable-development culture.
