CEO of Jam Petrochemical Company

Padjam Polymer will generate 400 million dollars in revenue per year

Najafi Ardakani also expressed hope that the company would be able to add 300-400 million dollars annually to the total income of the national pension fund and other shareholders

Mohammad Hashem Najafi Ardakani, CEO of Jam Petrochemical Company, has said the company’s problems can be solved with the help and participation of the country’s young people. He made the comments in the process of operating the 1st phase Padjam polymer.

He further noted that it’s hoped that within the next three or four months, the company would be able to move on to the other phases, i.e., the ABS and HIPS lines, and within the next 15 months to import and install the necessary equipment and start the production of rubber lines.

Regarding the production of Padjam’s exclusive grades, the CEO of Jam Petrochemical said that the company currently produces GPPS in three grades, and based on the available documents and the tonnage, the production of one line of the company equals the total production of ABS in the country. He further said that it’s hoped that the company would be able to solve this discrepancy.

Najafi Ardakani also expressed hope that the company would be able to add 300-400 million dollars annually to the total income of the national pension fund and other shareholders.

He noted that there are only two ways to solve the imbalance of pension funds; one is to amend the laws and regulations in the field of petrochemical industries, but that’s not practicable due to difficulties such as product supply methods. The other is the requirement to complete the value chain. According to him, the Kangan Petrochemical PDH/PP plan is one of the plans that should come to fruition.

He noted that there aren’t problems with regards to the supply of inter-complex styrene, Acrylonitrile and butadiene feedstocks. According to him, styrene-based is received based on a signed contact. Butadiene is also received from Jam Petrochemical as its shareholder. One of the reasons why the company has gone toward GPPS production was to avoid importing ACN and to produce a commodity based on the country’s capacities. It’s hoped that the company can import ACN and go to ABS for its next lines.
