Kharg Petrochemical Doubles Export Revenue as Sales Reach ۲۱.۳ Trillion Tomans

Kharg Petrochemical Reports 115% Revenue Growth in Spring-Summer 2026, with Exports Driving Sales
Kharg Petrochemical Co. (SHAKHARK) reported a 115% year-on-year increase in operating revenue to 21.298 trillion tomans during the spring-summer period of 2026, with all sales generated through exports, according to the company’s latest disclosure on Iran’s Codal reporting system. September alone accounted for 3.188 trillion tomans in revenue, led by sales of butane and pentane.

The six-month performance report highlights the export-driven nature of Kharg Petrochemical’s business, with international sales accounting for its entire reported revenue. The company, which operates on Kharg Island in the Persian Gulf, recorded more than double its revenue for the corresponding period a year earlier, while butane and pentane remained its leading revenue-generating products in September.

Revenue rises to 21.298 trillion tomans

Kharg Petrochemical, listed on the First Market of the Tehran Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol SHAKHARK, has a registered capital of 600 billion tomans.

According to its six-month operating report published on Codal, the company generated total operating revenue of 21.298 trillion tomans from product sales during the spring-summer period of 2026.

This compares with revenue of 9.896 trillion tomans in the corresponding period of 2025, representing year-on-year growth of approximately 115%.

The increase marks a substantial improvement in the company’s reported sales performance, with total revenue more than doubling over the six-month period.

September sales reach 3.188 trillion tomans

Of Kharg Petrochemical’s cumulative revenue during the spring-summer period, 3.188 trillion tomans was recorded in September, indicating that the company maintained a substantial level of sales activity in the final month of the reporting period.

Butane was the largest contributor to monthly revenue, generating 1.430 trillion tomans in sales.

Pentane ranked second, with revenue of 1.219 trillion tomans.

Combined, the two products generated 2.649 trillion tomans, accounting for the bulk of Kharg Petrochemical’s September sales.

Exports account for all reported revenue

A defining feature of Kharg Petrochemical’s business model is its reliance on export markets.

According to the company’s published disclosures, domestic sales were reported at zero during the spring-summer period of 2026, meaning that the entire 21.298 trillion tomans in operating revenue came from exports.

The company’s location on Kharg Island in the Persian Gulf provides direct access to maritime shipping routes and international export markets, an important logistical advantage for a petrochemical producer whose sales are entirely export-based.

However, this exposure also makes the company’s financial performance sensitive to international product prices, export demand, shipping costs, exchange-rate movements and geopolitical developments affecting regional trade routes.

Export performance remains central to Kharg’s outlook

Kharg Petrochemical’s six-month operating report points to a significant increase in sales revenue, supported entirely by exports and led by products such as butane and pentane.

The 115% increase in operating revenue highlights the scale of the company’s reported sales growth. However, assessing the sustainability of this performance will require closer attention to export volumes, international product prices, foreign-exchange rates and operating costs in the coming reporting periods.
