The September results mark a significant improvement in Shazand’s commercial performance, with higher sales volumes and substantial growth in product revenues. Despite declines in sales volumes of polypropylene and 2-ethylhexanol, gains across other key product categories helped drive the company’s overall performance.
Sales volumes reach highest level in nearly two years
Shazand sold a total of 82,316 tonnes of petrochemical products in September 2026, up 32% from 62,465 tonnes in the same month a year earlier. The figure represents the company’s strongest monthly sales volume in the past 23 months.
High-density polyethylene (HDPE) recorded the largest increase in sales volume among the main product categories, rising 20% year on year to 9,528 tonnes from 7,942 tonnes.
Sales of linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) increased 14% to 6,724 tonnes, compared with 5,905 tonnes a year earlier.
By contrast, polypropylene sales slipped 3% to 6,530 tonnes, while 2-ethylhexanol volumes fell 5% to 6,242 tonnes. Higher sales across other product categories more than offset these declines.
Revenue climbs to 12.49 trillion tomans
The increase in sales volumes, combined with higher sales values across the product portfolio, drove a sharp rise in Shazand’s revenue.
The company’s total sales revenue reached 12.493 trillion tomans in September 2026, compared with 3.724 trillion tomans in September 2025, representing a year-on-year increase of 235%.
Among individual products, 2-ethylhexanol generated revenue of 1.585 trillion tomans, up 194% from a year earlier.
LLDPE revenue rose 184% to 1.094 trillion tomans, while HDPE sales revenue increased 164% to 1.469 trillion tomans.
Polypropylene revenue also grew, rising 135% year on year to 1.361 trillion tomans, despite a decline in sales volume.
Stronger sales underpin September performance
Shazand’s September results point to stronger sales momentum, with total volumes reaching their highest level in 23 months and monthly sales revenue exceeding 12.4 trillion tomans.
The combination of higher sales volumes and increased product revenues underlines the improvement in the company’s commercial performance during the month, although the sustainability of this trend will depend on production levels, market demand and pricing conditions in the months ahead.
