The industrial wastewater treatment plant project of Kangan Petro-Refining Holding, which started in 2021, with the aim of water recycling, reducing pollutants, and achieving modern environmental standards, has become one of the most important sustainable development plans of this complex.
This treatment plant, using five main sections including physical treatment, biological treatment, sludge treatment, advanced treatment, and an incineration unit, enables the recovery of about 400 cubic meters of water per hour and returns the treated water to the production cycle for reuse in cooling towers.
The design of this project with a *Zero Waste* approach, while properly managing waste and industrial sludge, is considered an effective step in reducing environmental impacts, increasing the efficiency of water resources, and realizing sustainable development goals in the petrochemical industry.
