Hussein Mozaffari , Director of public & International affairs of Kharg petrochemical company said that in the illegal American strike to Kharg Island only the military sites are targeted and there is no harm to the Kharg petrochemical complex and this complex is in production and activity circuit.
He also added that the T – terminal of the oil export terminal was not the target.
It is worth mentioning that on March 12, 2026, the US air force carried out a massive air strike to the Kharg island, a key oil export center on the Persian Gulf coast. The attacks targeted more than 90 Iranian military sites, but kept the oil and gas infrastructure safe. Kharg Island’s oil export terminal was under bombing for 2800 times during the Iran-Iraq war.
