Kharg Petrochemical Company ‘s CEO , Komeil Pourziaei said in the seventh Specialized Exhibition and Conference on Oil, Gas, Refining, and Petrochemicals with the approach of supporting domestic manufacturing at the company’s pavilion in Kish Island regarding investment and return rate of the company’s synthetic ethanol development project: the synthetic ethanol was fiscal studied and adopted , which its internal rate of return (IRR) was estimated to be about 25% and that the plan of profitability was made by the National Petrochemical Industry Company which confirms this plan both in terms of price and profitability , which would raise the profitability and revenue of Kharg petrochemical company .
Pourziaei said about the license of synthetic ethanol project: ” we discussed license with Chinese companies, which is a state – owned company and is not named due to sanction conditions, but it is accredited governmental and certified company in Iran and has eight to a reference for other petrochemical companies.
The CEO of Kharg petrochemical discussed the use of domestically manufactured equipment in the synthetic ethanol project, which is estimated 50 – 60 percent of the project equipment of this project will be manufactured in Iran. It would result in a 20 % decrease in the project budget from the predicted digit.
Pourziaei regarding to the failure of Iranian methanol in the Chinese and Indian markets, due to sanctions expressed; we do our business and trade and our export continues. Thus, our sales and business team do all their efforts to solidify our export. He added the all export of methanol, LPG, Pentane+ and Sulphur is carried out as in frame of Tenders.
The CEO of Kharg petrochemical stated: ” the Iranian producers’ strategy to get out of this situation and the excess of methanol supply in the world market and dependence on the Chinese market is the right development of methanol’s downstream and deepening of its value chain.
