He pointed to special measures in line with government policies to increase product production and added one of the main priorities of the Isfahan Oil Refining Company has been to increase the production of gasoline and oil and gas products, so that in 2024 the company was able to increase its refining capacity from 390,000 barrels per day to 430,000 barrels, which played an important role in compensating for the fuel imbalance in the country.
The CEO of Isfahan Oil Refining Company referred to the projects to upgrade furnace oil processing and said the company has made about 65 percent progress in the first phase of furnace oil upgrade projects, and these projects are defined to reduce pollution and increase productivity from furnace oil in power plants. Also, in the near future, with the implementation of the second phase of this project, furnace oil will be converted into more valuable products such as gasoline and oil and gas.
Bagheri Dizaj referred to the trend of increasing gasoline production in 2024 and noted with the beginning of the 14th government and using the changes made in the refinery, the amount of gasoline production increased from 11 million liters per day to about 12 million and 500 thousand liters per day, and with the continued trend of increasing gasoline production, the amount of gasoline production has now reached 13 million liters per day.
Stating that oil and gas production has also increased from 23 million liters per day at an initial capacity of 360,000 barrels to 26 million liters per day at a capacity of 430,000 barrels, he said this increase of 3 million liters in daily oil and gas production has greatly contributed to meeting domestic needs and reducing dependence on imports.
The CEO of Isfahan Oil Refining Company referred to the refinery’s environmental projects and social responsibilities and stated, in line with its social responsibilities, Isfahan Refinery has projects such as providing drinking water from the Sea of Oman and developing solar power plants on its agenda, and these measures not only help meet domestic needs but also play an effective role in reducing energy consumption and reducing emissions.
Bagheri stated that the Isfahan Oil Refinery is working hard to increase production capacity and improve the quality of products and will continue to focus on increasing gasoline and diesel production in the coming years. He added, in addition to meeting domestic needs, with the cooperation of the government and the issued licenses, it is trying to expand product exports and take steps in line with national interests and the development of the country’s oil industry.
