Rahbord Energy: The CEO of National Iranian Petrochemical Company (NPC) has paid a visit to the pavilion of Shazand petrochemical in the 28th International Oil and Gas Exhibition of Tehran. He said Shazand petrochemical has now turned into the pride of Iran’s petrochemical industry.
Morteza Shahmirzai, the Deputy Minister of Petroleum and CEO of the NPC, made those comments on the sidelines of the visit to the pavilion. He also referred to the export policy of the National Iranian Petrochemical Company and said the NPC opposes the export of products with lower added values. Shahmirzai emphasized that NPC intends to export products with higher added value and end products that can be used in other industries.
He also referred to the application of domestically-made catalysts by petrochemicals as the strategy of NPC and said Shazand Petrochemical, as the pride of Iran’s petrochemical industry, needs to procure most parts of its necessary equipment, especially catalysts used in its production units from domestic companies. This, he said, can be done by the experts of Shazand Petrochemical.
Shahmirzaei concluded his visit by getting informed on the latest self-sufficiency efforts of Shazand petrochemical and the new records set by the company.
