Rahbord Energy: Ahmadreza Heidarnia announced the news among the board of directors of Shiraz Petrochemical Company and said the firm has been among the pioneers of the petrochemical industry in Iran in recent years. He added that the company has managed to make giant leaps through precise planning, targeted investments and non-stop endeavours of its personnel.
Shiraz Petrochemical Company has hit 104% record of Urea production last year
He added that the company’s products enjoyed a significant growth in 1402 (2022-2023). This, according to Heidarnia, is among the company’s most significant achievements. He further added that Shiraz Petrochemical Company managed to register a 104% growth of its products when compared to its nominal capacity.
The CEO of Shiraz Petrochemical Company also said a growth in production of over 105 thousand tons despite prevailing restrictions such as gas feedstock cuts shows the commitment of the company to increase its market share in domestic and foreign markets. He said the growth of products of the company in the last 10 years shows the Shiraz Petrochemical company has enjoyed a steady upward trend. He added that despite challenges it is continuing to boost the quality of its products.
A 25% increase in Shiraz Petrochemical Company in the sale of urea
Heidarnia added that Shiraz Petrochemical Company has registered a significant growth in the production and sale of urea compared to other urea-producing firms during the period 1401 (2021-2022) and 1402 (2022-2023). He said the share of Shiraz Petrochemical Company in the production of urea was 25% and also its sale has reached 25% of the market.
He said the growth shows the increase in the production capacity of the company and the quality of its products. This, he added, has contributed to an increase in the company’s market share, both internally and externally.
The CEO of Shiraz Petrochemical company also touched on the significant growth of developmental projects to increase production and said the progress rate of bagging production factory, launched in 1401 (2020-2021), reached 22% by the end of 1402 (2022-2023). This project , with the aim of indigenous production and the utilization of maximum domestic capacities , is now being implemented and its inauguration would be another step to realize the country’s self-sufficiency goals.
Heidarnia also pointed to the the indigenous production of rhodium-platinum catalyst nets by Shiraz Petrochemical company and said the move is a giant stride in the self-sufficiency of petrochemical industry in Iran.
A €4mn saving
He added that his achievement saves €4mn and shows the determination of Iranian experts on the road toward severing dependence on foreign nations.
The CEO of Shiraz Petrochemical Company also touched on the significance of this achievement in the petrochemical industry of Iran and said nitric acid as the raw material for the production of ammonium nitrate is strategic for various industries and the indigenous production of rhodium-platinum catalyst nets will guarantee the continuous production of this product and will make the country independent in this regard.
Heidarnia also highlighted the future plans of the company and said boosting production and the quality of the products, expansion of export markets and the indigenous production of technology are among the company’s priorities this year.
