The CEO of Tehran Oil Refinery, during his visit to Shazand Petrochemical Complex, praised and supported the complex’s notable actions and progress in various fields.
A delegation composed of members of the boards of directors of Tehran Oil Refinery and Shazand Petrochemical, accompanied by the CEOs and several company managers, toured different parts of the Shazand Petrochemical Complex. At the start of the visit, the guests attended the complex’s mock-up room to become familiar with the processes and overall layout of the company’s production units.
Afterwards, in a joint meeting, the CEO of Tehran Oil Refining Company commended the efforts of Shazand Petrochemical’s managers and staff and reiterated Tehran Oil Refinery’s support for the complex, stressing the importance of maintaining continuous sustainable production and focusing on higher value-added products.
In the continuation of the session, Abbas Karimi, the CEO of Shazand Petrochemical welcomed the members of both boards and presented a report on the company’s performance and achievements over the past year. Referring to the successful execution of a major overhaul during the 12-day war conditions, he described this action as a sign of the staff’s determination, expertise, and high morale.
The CEO of Shazand Petrochemical also mentioned the formation of specialized working groups across various fields with input from board members, including economic, legal, projects, production digitization and sales groups, as well as teams for producing higher value-added products.
He added: “Through synergy among different departments and by utilizing existing capacities, we can pursue the development path with greater speed and quality.” In another part of his remarks, the CEO cited the high feedstock price as one of the company’s main current challenges and said: “It is hoped that by cooperation and consultation with upstream organizations, effective solutions will be found to manage this challenge at the national petrochemical industry level.”
In another part of the meeting, Dr. Hajian, chairman of Shazand Petrochemical’s board of directors, thanked the company’s various bodies for their valuable actions and achievements over the past year and said: “All the successes achieved are the result of a scientific, managerial approach based on the effort, diligence and perseverance of all colleagues at different levels of the organization.” The chairman noted the board’s approach to identifying risks and providing appropriate responses, adding: “Last year, issues such as feedstock supply, human resources matters and other operational challenges were on the board’s agenda, and fortunately, in each of these areas, significant successes were achieved through the company’s determination and prudence.” The chairman of Shazand Petrochemical’s board went on to name gasoline supply as another major risk facing the company and said: “With cooperation and support from higher-level managers, we hope to reach the necessary stability and resilience in this area as well.”
At the end of the program, the visiting delegation toured the complex’s various units and observed the production processes up close.
