Fanavaran Petrochemical Company becomes the most brilliant green production brand in Iran

Fanavaran Petrochemical Company was awarded the Hatam Medal and the Special Medal of the Green and Environmentally Friendly Organization at the 6th Hatam National Festival

Fanavaran Petrochemical Company was awarded the Hatam Medal and the Special Medal of the Green and Environmentally Friendly Organization at the 6th Hatam National Festival (Supporting National Production) held on Wednesday, May 11, 2025. The event coincided with the World Dialogue and Development Day.

At this event, which was attended by a group of economic activists, national brand owners, senior government officials, and representatives of the domestic and foreign private sector, the Hatem Medal was awarded to Dr. Hossein Rafiqdoost, CEO and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Fanavaran Petrochemical Company. This was in recognition of his valuable efforts in the direction of sustainable production, technological development, and commitment to environmental responsibilities.

This award, as the highest level of recognition in this festival, is considered a symbol of success in innovative management, the realization of resistance economy strategies, and the move towards green production in the country.

Also at this event, Fanavaran Petrochemical Company, as a pioneering organization in environmental protection, was awarded the special award of a green and environmentally friendly organization. This honor is the result of the effective measures that the company has implemented over the past year to reduce pollutants, improve process quality, and develop clean technologies.

Last March, Fanavaran Petrochemical Company took a big step towards reducing carbon emissions and using clean fuels by successfully operating the first hydrogen-fired boiler in Iran’s petrochemical industry.

Other measures taken by the company include the carbon dioxide (CO2) recycling project, which is currently being implemented as the largest CO2 recycling unit in the country’s petrochemical industry, which reduces greenhouse gases and provides a new way for industrial recycling and reuse of gas resources.

The Hatem National Festival, which aims to identify, introduce, and celebrate top brands in the field of national production, began in 2017, inspired by Article 21 of the General Policies of the Resistance Economy, and has been held for six years with the approach of strengthening the discourse of productive economy, knowledge-based production, and sustainable development. This event, with the participation of academic institutions, economic activists, the media, and the government, provides a platform for introducing exemplary national achievements in the production sector.
