Bahram Sarmast, General Governor of East Azerbaijan, has visited the Tabriz Petrochemical Complex as part of the “Economic Tuesdays” program, along with a group of senior provincial and national managers, including Mehdi Karami, Deputy Chairman of Ghadir Investment Group, Seyyed Jafar Hashemi, CEO of Parsian Oil and Gas Development Group, and Maboud Abbaszadeh, Deputy Chairman of Companies and Associations of Ghadir Investment Group.
The simultaneous presence of these key figures from the Tabriz Petrochemical Complex indicated the strategic importance of this visit and their special focus on the development projects of this complex. Their association with the provincial high official once again revealed the serious determination to support investors in these projects.
During this visit, the Governor and the accompanying delegation visited various production departments, development and environmental projects of the complex. One of the main focuses of this visit was the important and strategic project of producing heavy polyethylene with a capacity of 310 thousand tons, which was examined in detail. As one of the key development projects, this project will play an effective role in strengthening the value chain of petrochemical industries and improving the production capacity of the complex.
The project to transfer and reuse wastewater from the Tabriz Metropolitan Treatment Plant was also one of the other areas that received special attention from the governor and the accompanying delegation. This project, which is designed with the aim of optimally using water resources and reducing dependence on freshwater resources, is considered a practical step towards sustainable development and environmental protection. The use of urban wastewater in industrial processes is a notable example of the industry’s alignment with modern environmental approaches, in which Tabriz Petrochemical is a pioneer in this field.
During this visit, Seyed Nourallah Mirashrafi, CEO and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tabriz Petrochemical Company, presented a report on the complex’s production capacities and development projects. He emphasized that Tabriz Petrochemical Company pursues industrial development in line with environmental protection, utilizing modern technologies and strictly observing environmental standards, and pays special attention to the expansion of green space.
In this visit, the General Governor of East Azerbaijan emphasized the importance of the role of Tabriz Petrochemical in the industrial and economic development of the province and announced that the provincial administration will not hesitate to provide any assistance to advance the projects and will provide the necessary cooperation and support to remove obstacles and bottlenecks in the implementation of the projects.
It is worth noting that Taher Roohi, Deputy Coordinator of Economic Affairs of the East Azerbaijan Governorate, Saber Parnian, Director General of Industry, Mine and Trade of the province, and Mohammad Hossein Hassanzadeh, Director General of Environmental Protection of East Azerbaijan, were also present in this visit and were closely informed about the progress of Tabriz Petrochemical projects and development programs.
