Marun Petrochemical Company attended on the 35th Malaysia International Machinery Fair (MIMF) which was held in Kuala Lumpur from the 11th to the 13th of July 2024 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) for an extraordinary showcase of cutting-edge advancements and unparalleled networking opportunities.
The world’s leading petrochemical companies and downstream companies were present in the event. Iran’s Marun Petrochemical Company was also present in the exhibition. The company featured its latest achievements there.
The latest developments in the field of production, including different kinds of plastics, molds, and tools, were unveiled there. Furthermore, the exhibition provided a platform to exchange opinions among producers, consumers, and traders.

Marun Petrochemical Company has the production capacity of 1.1 million tons of polyethylene per year, setting it among the largest olefin producers, made it possible to convert C2+ (ethane), extracted from natural gas, into polymeric and chemical products through olefinic processes for the first time in the country
Marun Petrochemical Co., via having ethane recovery factory, produces chemical and polymeric products by recovering ethane from natural gas. Marun Petrochemical Co. has the production capacity of 1,100,000 tons ethylene, 200,000 tons of propylene, 300,000 tons of heavy polyethylene, 300,000 tons of polypropylene, and more than 443,000 various types of glycol which has made this company one of the greatest petrochemical companies in Iran and around the world.
