The international ISO 50001 standard certificate of Shazand Petrochemical Company has been renewed for another year based on the company’s effective and continuous actions as well as the completion of the surveillance audit.
Shazand Petrochemical Company, holder of international certificates in the fields of quality management system, environment, occupational health and safety, and information security, has also taken significant steps and carried out effective and continuous actions in the field of energy management system.
One of the most important notable actions of Shazand Petrochemical regarding energy management is controlling the rate of increase in natural gas consumption and reducing the amount consumed compared to the same period last year, as well as a significant decrease in the company’s energy financial intensity index.
Such actions, alongside other various activities aimed at energy consumption management, led the auditors of Marzban Quality Company, as the certifying body for issuing international certificates, to renew the ISO 50001 energy management system standard certificate of Shazand Petrochemical Company for another year.
It is worth mentioning that according to international regulations, the mentioned certificate is issued with a validity of three years; however, the issuing body conducts surveillance audits by auditors, and in case of poor performance by companies, the issued international certificate may be suspended or revoked. The fundamental and minor compliance in the recent audit confirms the effective and continuous activities and actions of Shazand Petrochemical in the field of energy management.
