The 29th National Conference on Non‑Oil Export Development, with the theme “Challenges and requirements of non‑oil exports under conditions of uncertainty and exploiting the opportunities of the Free Trade Agreement with the Eurasian Economic Union,” was held on 13 November 2025 at the Khavaran International Hall. The event was hosted by the Tabriz Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture.
With the presence of Dr. Nouri, Minister of Agriculture Jihad; Motahari‑Asl, the Supreme Leader’s representative in the east Azerbaijan; Dr. Sarmast, General Governor of East Azerbaijan; members of the Islamic Consultative Assembly; the chair of the Parliament’s Industry and Mines Committee; the presidents of the Iran and Tabriz Chambers of Commerce; the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs; and a number of senior national managers, provincial economic actors and top exporters were honored.
At the ceremony, Tabriz Petrochemical Company was recognized as the exemplary exporter of East Azerbaijan Province in appreciation of its effective role in developing non‑oil exports and expanding the presence of Iranian petrochemical products in regional and international markets. The strategic performance of Dr. Seyed Nourallah Mirashrafi, CEO of Tabriz Petrochemical Company, in smartly steering export policy and achieving market development goals was also commended.
In recent years, relying on innovation across the production chain and expanding export markets, Tabriz Petrochemical has increased its share in global markets and consolidated its position as one of the main non‑oil exporters in the northwest of the country.
On the sidelines of the conference, specialized sessions addressed topics such as “The impact of the Iran‑Eurasia Free Trade Agreement on industrial exports,” “Currency and financial policies to support exporters,” and “The role of economic diplomacy in stabilizing export markets.” Participants stressed the need to diversify target markets, simplify customs procedures, and improve the quality of exported products as key pillars for achieving a leap in non‑oil exports.
The 29th National Conference on Non‑Oil Export Development — aimed at exploring ways to expand foreign trade and identifying new opportunities in regional and international markets — is one of the country’s most important economic events. Tabriz Petrochemical’s participation and success at the conference further confirmed the company’s position as a leading exporter of petrochemical products in Iran.
