The National Industry and Mining Day ceremony was held at the Khavaran International Conference Center in Tabriz. The event was attended by senior national and provincial officials, including the Vice President’s Parliamentary Deputy, the Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, the Minister of Agriculture, the President of Iran’s Chamber of Commerce, the Head of Iran’s House of Industry, Mining and Trade, the acting Governor of East Azerbaijan, several members of parliament and heads of parliamentary commissions.
At the ceremony, Tabriz Petrochemical company was chosen as the province’s selected industrial unit. Seyed Nourollah Mirashrafi, the company’s CEO and vice chairman of the board, received the crystal trophy for the province’s model unit from national officials.
As the largest polymer company in the northwest of the country, Tabriz Petrochemical plays a major role in the province’s and nation’s economy with an annual production capacity of 870,000 tonnes of various polymers. The company’s diverse products include polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, ABS, and hydrocarbon byproducts, all produced under licenses from leading global firms.
The company’s strategic location near Europe’s gateways enables significant exports to European countries, the Balkans, Southeast Asia — especially China — and African markets.
Being chosen as the province’s model industrial unit reflects the company’s continuous efforts to improve product quality, increase productivity, and expand exports.
