Fanavaran Petrochemical Company, with the symbol SHEFN in the capital market, announced a record-breaking record in production, sales and operating income by publishing its performance report for the month of May 31, 2025 (SHAFAN) on the Kodal system, and informed shareholders that its production, sales and revenue had doubled by the end of May.
According to published data, the production volume of Shafan in May 2025 was announced as 176,754 tons, while this number in May 2024 was 88,562 tons. Thus, with a growth of about 100 percent in monthly production, the company has practically utilized its nominal capacity in stable conditions and has taken a practical step in establishing its position as one of the largest methanol producers in the country.
The company’s monthly sales volume, which exceeded 192,250 tons, has been a testament to Shafen’s successful policy of matching production and sales simultaneously with scheduled maintenance stops. According to the published report, this growth in sales despite major and minor repairs in parts of the complex is indicative of the company’s operational capability and simultaneous planning of maintenance, production, sales, logistics, and exports.
Also, in the most interesting part of the report for shareholders, Shafan’s sales in April 2025 were announced as 17,108,518 million rials (1700 billion tomans), which represents a 78.4 percent increase compared to sales of 9,590,916 million rials in the same period last year. This amount of income in just one month is equivalent to 103 percent of the total income in the first two months of last year and indicates an extraordinary performance in methanol sales and exports.
According to these official data, total sales of Shafan in the first two months of 2025 reached 32,610,303 million rials (3.2 thousand billion tomans), which is more than double the sales of 16,090,516 million rials in the first two months of 2024. This accelerated growth indicates a strong start to the new fiscal year for Fanavaran Petrochemical.
It should be noted that, in a situation where the methanol market is facing supply and demand fluctuations, especially in East Asia and India, the ability to maintain production at a high rate and match it with export capacity indicates agility, coordination in the supply chain, increased domestic productivity, and the continuation of innovative policies in this company.
