The annual general assembly of shareholders of Tabriz Petrochemical Company was held in the presence of shareholders, board members, and managers of Tabriz Petrochemical Company at the cultural and welfare complex of the company.
In this meeting, the representatives of Parsian Oil and Gas Development Group, Tabriz Oil Refining Company, Amir Investment Group Company, TAPICO Oil, Gas, and Petrochemical Investment Company (Tapico), Refah Kargaran Bank, National Pension Fund, and provincial investment companies of Saham Adalat, as well as major shareholders and members of the board of directors of Tabriz Petrochemical Company, were present. Mr. Lotfi was elected as the chairman of the general meeting. At the beginning of this meeting, the CEO of Tabriz Petrochemical Company presented a report on the performance of this complex in 2023, regarding the volume of production, sales, and feed supply.
Dr. Seyed Nurollah Mirasharafi noted that thanks to the serious efforts of the staff, the company managed to break the production record of the last three years and register a 6% increase in the production of marketable products compared to 2022.
He added that the 6% increase in total sales and the 45% increase in export sales of the company compared to last year are among the most important achievements of the company in the fiscal year 2023.
The CEO of Tabriz Petrochemical Company also explained the important financing activities for the development of the company’s projects, including HDPE and EB/SM projects. He also touched on the company’s basic challenges in 2023, including the significant decrease in global prices. He added that a 24% reduction in energy consumption index and a 35% reduction in water consumption compared to the standards are in line with the company’s policy to protect the environment.
Furthermore, during the assembly, some of the major achievements of the Tabriz Petrochemical Complex were presented. They included the production of a new item for 5-carbon hydrocarbons and the design and production of new colored ABS products, achieving a place among the top hundred companies in Iran. Furthermore, the company received the crystal statuette of the Petrochemical Industry Excellence Award, the top statuette of the Hatem National Festival, as well as the golden statuette of the 7th National Customer Satisfaction Summit.
