The report further notes the realization of 15.2 percent revenue, exceeding the budget, and the production of 1.2 million tons of product, which was accompanied by exceeding the nominal capacity in the acetic acid product.
According to the annual performance report of Fanavaran Petrochemical Company (symbol: Shafan), by the end of the fiscal year ending March 20, 2025, the company has achieved a production volume of 1,210,674 tons, which has recorded a growth of 2.5% compared to the previous year. Despite gas restrictions in the second half of the year, methanol production also exceeded 900,000 tons, indicating the high productivity of this vital unit. In addition, for the first time in the company’s history, acetic acid production exceeded its nominal capacity and reached 153,000 tons, which represents a growth of 12% compared to 136,000 tons last year. In the carbon monoxide unit, production also exceeded 111,000 tons, which is an increase of 6% compared to the same period last year.
These records were achieved in a situation where the company spent half of the year under the pressure of feed restrictions, but efficient management and careful planning resulted in maximum efficiency of operational capacities. Also, Shafan achieved a revenue of 152,447,116 million rials (15.2 thousand billion tomans) in 2023-2024, which was a 50 percent increase compared to the 12-month revenue of the previous year. This revenue also exceeded the company’s annual projected budget, marking a historic performance.
The annual report states that the company’s operating profit has also significantly jumped from 7,305,857 million rials in 2023-2024 to 33,158,854 million rials (3.3 thousand billion tomans) at the end of 2024-2025, representing a growth of 353.9 percent. This operating profit has even exceeded the projected budget of 21,707,623 million rials, by 52.7 percent.
According to estimates, the company’s unaudited profit will exceed 2.8 billion riyals by the end of 2024-2025, which represents a 968 percent increase over the 266 billion riyals profit last year. Accordingly, shareholders of this petrochemical company can expect a profit of about 920 riyals per share, which is a 980 percent increase over the 86 riyals profit last year.
